Purpose Understand the Newsletter Series experience from vendor setup through partner subscription management.
This guide provides an overview of how the Newsletter Series feature works in StructuredWeb, including vendor and Content Manager capabilities, supported series types, partner subscription preferences, unsubscribe behavior, and reporting.
Newsletter Series (Released) — What’s Available Now Review the currently available end-to-end Newsletter Series capability.
The Newsletter Series capability is available as an end-to-end solution to run multi-email newsletters with partner-managed subscription preferences and built-in unsubscribe compliance.
Vendor / Content Manager Capabilities Create, configure, manage, and distribute newsletter sequences.
Vendors and Content Managers have access to specific tools to create, manage, and distribute newsletters as a cohesive sequence:
- Create a Newsletter Series "Container": You can create a container that acts as a wrapper for multiple emails sent over time as a sequence.
- Dedicated Navigation: The UI includes a specialized Newsletter Series area featuring a dedicated tab, separate from other tactics, and a List view for easy browsing.
- Configure Series Settings: Each series supports a Settings experience to control the "rules" and behaviors governing the newsletters.
- Manage Content: A dedicated Newsletter Series Content page supports creating and managing the individual emails that belong to the series.
- Delete a Series: A supported delete flow exists for Newsletter Series across both old and new technology paths.
Important
When the vendor has the series activated, it becomes available to partners and the related popups and access points are made available.
Supported Series Types: Regular vs. Welcome Understand the two available Newsletter Series types and how their scheduling differs.
When creating a new series, you can choose between two distinct types:
A) Regular Newsletter Series
- Designed for ongoing newsletters with a traditional cadence.
- You create emails within the series and schedule them based on the configured approach for that series.
B) Welcome Newsletter Series (Automated Onboarding)
- Triggered by Opt-In: A partner’s opt-in date becomes the effective start for that sequence.
- Simplified Scheduling: The UI focuses on cadence controls, such as frequency and day, rather than fixed start dates.
- Automatic Sending: Emails are intended to send automatically; there is no manual send option.
- Progressive Sequence: There is no "overdue" concept; the flow is treated as a continuous path rather than a backlog to catch up on.
Partner Experience: Subscriptions and Preferences Review how partners control series-level opt-in, opt-out, and unsubscribe preferences.
The platform ensures compliance and partner autonomy through granular preference management:
- Opt-In / Opt-Out per Series: Partners can explicitly choose to receive communications for specific series rather than using only a global "all or nothing" setting.
- Proactive Prompts: If a series is published and a partner hasn't made a choice, they may see a modal prompt to accept or deny the subscription.
- Unsubscribe Compliance: Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link that automatically updates the partner’s preference state and stops future sends for that series.
Tracking & Reporting Review how consent activity is captured and where reporting is available.
- Consent Events: The system captures all opt-in, opt-out, and unsubscribe actions to ensure preference states remain consistent.
- Reporting Availability: A dedicated "Newsletter Series Report" UI is currently in development. Today, reporting is available via current reporting surfaces, with the assurance that all subscription events are being recorded for downstream use.
Partner Guide: Managing Your Preferences Understand the subscription actions available to partner users.
As a partner user, you have full control over the communications you receive from the Marketing Center.
You can manage your newsletter communications through the following actions:
- Opt In: Start receiving emails for a specific series.
- Opt Out: Decline receiving emails for a specific series.
- Unsubscribe: Use the link in any newsletter email to stop receiving that specific content.
How to Opt In or Opt Out Set a subscription preference for an available Newsletter Series.
- Navigate to the Marketing Center in the partner portal.
- Locate the available Newsletter Series.
- Choose Opt In to start receiving emails or Opt Out to decline.
- If you have not made a choice on a published series, you may see a prompt asking you to set your preference.
How the Welcome Series Works Understand how opt-in starts an automated Welcome Newsletter sequence.
If your vendor uses a Welcome Newsletter Series, please note:
- Your sequence begins the moment you opt in.
- Emails are sent automatically based on a set frequency, for example Day 1, Day 7, and so on.
- These are automated flows designed to provide onboarding or introductory content.
How to Unsubscribe from an Email Stop future emails from a specific Newsletter Series.
If you wish to stop receiving a newsletter:
- Open any newsletter email you have received.
- Click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Your preference will be updated automatically to Opt Out for that series.
